Both our systems are pretty powerful – shouldn't have been a hardware problem. Besides, I've played games with much less going on in terms of graphics and AI that run smoothly on machines half the speed (look at Total Annihilation). Definite potential, though. – by Rary Hmmm. The only way to play it is to do a manual install: Manually install the game[edit] Setting up the game manually Somewhere on the computer (ex. the Desktop create a new folder called Mech Commander. Copy the contents of the Mech Commander CD and paste them into the folder that was created before. When everything has finished copying, go into the installation folder and right click on the MC.exe (or MCX.exe). Go to the Compatibility tab and enable Compatibility Mode (set it to Windows XP ( Service Pack 3) ). Run the MC.exe (or MCX.exe) file to play the game.
