Javanese Script The Javanese script ( Hanacaraka/ Carakan) is a script for writing the Javanese language, the native language of one of the peoples of the Island of Java. It is a descendent of the ancient Brahmi script of India, and so has many similarities with modern scripts of South Asia and Southeast Asia. The Javanese script is also used for writing Sanskrit, Old Javanese, and transcriptions of Kawi, as well as the Sundanese language, and the Sasak language. Javanese script was added to Unicode Standard in version 5.2 on the code points A980 - A9 DF. Unicode Font of Javanese script Tuladha Jejeg is a Unicode font for Javanese script. Tuladha Jejeg uses variable stroke widths on its glyphs with serifs on some glyphs. Version 2.01 is updated with some fixes. > Download Fonts makes use of SIL Graphite smart font techonology. When the font is used in an application that do not support Graphite font, smart rendering will not happen. For example, consonant conjunct will not be formed or vowel signs will be displayed incorrectly.
