HP Officejet V40 printer driver(s) for Windows 7 We have an HP Officejet V40 printer we have used with XP for a few years. It worked great with that computer. We recently had to replace our computer and obviously purchased one with Windows 7, 64 bit. When we attempt to print a document, we can print 1 page then it jams the printer port in some manner. I can delete the printer job and try again and it will print 1 page then jam the port again. I have checked the HP web site and it says they do not have any driver upgrades or any new drivers for this printer. Any information or suggestions on how I can correct this problem so we can print the entire document? Thank you.

I've read here 'n there online that the two simply will never work together within 7, but I'm curious if it is possible, in my ignorance here, to use that printer in XP Mode? I am unfamiliar with XP Mode, but have read a little about it. Is that a feasible solution to get her to be able to use her AIO printer? I never thought to check about this incompatibility before she spent her paycheck on a new OS. I did read somewhere that some people's solution is to go buy a new compatible printer. Her V40 worked perfectly on XP, but she wanted the latest, so she picked it up and had me put it on for her. And now she can't print or scan stuff. Any help will be GREATLY appreciated on this! Tomorrow is her day off so I hope to be able to remote into her machine with a solution in hand. Please help. Money is too tight to replace the printer. I started though with the same link that grasshopper included here, but had already found that link previously via basic Google searches. It's pretty common of a posting from HP, but not that easy to solve. Just took some time and knowhow of driver manipulation for printers. I was very happy to see the V40 listed.
