This is often done using the reset button on the back of your router. You may have to use a paperclip to push a recessed button on the back of the router. Unplug the router, push and hold the reset button while you plug the power cord back in. Continue holding the reset button for up to 30 seconds and let the router boot as normal.

Hi, I've been experiencing problems with my D- Link WBR-2310 router for a long, time. The trouble is, on all 3 computers, a Wii, and an Xbox 360, there is trouble with dropouts. I've contacted D- Link, and they gave me some info to make it work, but their solution caused my network to become unacceptably slow, and ultimately, the problem was still occurring. I change all of their setting back to the defaults, except the Preamble, which I kept to Long Preamble. It ha made little difference in doing this. The problem isn't just occurring with the Wireless aspect. My 360, is connected to the router via ethernet cable, not wireless, and it experienced the dropouts. Likewise, when I set my computer up to the ethernet cable, still, with the dropouts. I've spent endless hours struggling to find a fix, to no avail, any help would be extremely appreciated. If it's any help, here's what little I know: This is not limited to wireless, but Wireless and Wired Our ISP is 10 MBPS and the router is set to 10/100 MBPS Everything on the router, is the default, except the Preamble, which I set to Long. Thanks for everything! google for a firmware update to ' D- Link WBR-2310 router' make sure you have the precise version number (if any) and note the firmware version alread running (ie use the admin login) If there is an update, download it and install BE SURE to use a wired connection when performing the update itself I've had problems with D- Link stuff (a DWL-g650 pcmcia card) and had to come up with my own solutions to get it to work. Good luck. well. shall we guess or will you give us at least a hint Well if you want to know about the pcmcia card what needed to be done was to get rid of the program that put the icon on the taskbar (which was a picture of bars like a cell phone letting you know if you had a connection to the wifi net or not). This icon program was interfearing with.
