Overview As of August 2010, more professional golfers played Taylor Made golf clubs than those of any other maker-50 golfers on the PGA, European and LPGA tours carry Taylor Made clubs. Pings are used by 46 players and Callaway clubs by 40 pros on the three tours. Professional golfers often help design the clubs they use. These clubs, and similar models, are available for purchase by the general public. On average, male professional golfers use drivers with a loft between 9.5 and 10.5 degrees. Callaway According to Callaway Golf, 18 PGA Tour players, 17 European Tour players and five LPGA players use the company's clubs. Nike Tiger Woods, the most well-known golfer in the world, headlined 10 PGA players who carry Nike clubs, according to the company's website. The VR Tour is the driver of choice for Nike golfers. COM Equipment Insider LA QUINTA, Calif. - After putting a Callaway X- Hot driver in the bag at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions, Tommy Gainey had Callaway reps build him a new X- Hot 3-wood at Humana. They bent the lie angle to 61 degrees and gave him a half-degree more loft (14.5 degrees final loft). Gainey had been hitting his 3-wood slightly right, but with the new X- Hot setup, he was able to produce a draw off the ground and tee with the new club and immediately put it in the bag. Laird closes distance gap with Rocket Bladez Tour 3-iron: Brian Gay wasn't the only Taylor Made staffer who put a Rocket Bladez Tour long iron in the bag at Humana to close the distance gap. While Gay added a 4-iron to close the gap between his 5-iron and 19-degree rescue, Martin Laird went with a Rocket Bladez Tour 3-iron and 4-iron this week to bridge the gapping in the Rescue Zone. Laird commented that he loved the new trajectory, distance, dispersion and consistency with the new irons. He put the 3-iron and 4-iron in the bag at Humana.
